Running activities are held in partnership with Auckland Marathon. Participants will run as members of the Rainbow Games team and are subject to both the terms and conditions of the Games and Auckland Marathon. 

Auckland Marathon requires every participant to register individually through their registration system, in ADDITION to the Rainbow Games registration. This will ensure that Auckland Marathon health and safety obligations are met and that participants receive the free gift, timer and bib for the race. 

EXTENDED UNTIL 16 OCTOBER!   Team Registrations were meant to close on Friday 13th September 2026 in order for team information to be recorded by Auckland Marathon, however they have kindly agreed to extend it for us.

Pick up of race items will be managed by Rainbow Games organisers and will occur as part of the Rainbow Games registration/pick up process planned from 5pm Thursday 29 October, before the start of the opening ceremony at the Aotea Centre, Auckland CBD. If you can't get along then, it will be available from Hiwa Recreation Centre, University of Auckland, 17 Symonds Street on Saturday 31 October (9-4pm).
